Chicago Asthma Consortium (CAC) names Rachelle Paul-Brutus, MPH as Executive Director For Immediate Release Contact: Mary Eileen Sullivan CHICAGO – The Chicago Asthma Consortium (CAC) has selected Rachelle Paul-Brutus, MPH as CAC’s new Executive Director, effective January 22, 2024. Rachelle Paul-Brutus brings years of experience as a leader in public health, including time with Partners in Health-Chicago, the Chicago Department of Public Health, Sinai Health Systems, and the University of Illinois Chicago School of Public Health. During her previous tenures, she’s worked in such areas as community health, infection disease prevention programs for underrepresented populations in Chicago, and played a pivotal communication role for the city of Chicago during the COVID pandemic. Rachelle Paul-Brutus holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Walden University (Baltimore, MD) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry (with Honors) from the University of Ottawa (Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA). “The Chicago Asthma Consortium is thrilled to have Rachelle Paul-Brutus join us as Executive Director, and we are confident in her leadership and strategic vision of bringing the CAC to the next level,” said CAC President Matt Siemer. “Her deep community ties here in Chicago, and public health expertise, will help CAC continue to support all people with asthma in the City of Chicago and bring in folks who are passionate about issues like air quality and environmental justice that are core to reversing the economic and race-based health inequities we see in asthma severity and treatment access.” Rachelle Paul-Brutus will uphold CAC’s mission “to improve the quality of life for people with asthma through advocacy, education and collaboration.” ABOUT Chicago Asthma Consortium Formed in 1996 (by American College of Chest Physicians and Respiratory Health Association) to coordinate the activities of asthma stakeholders across the Chicago area, CAC is the only local coalition dedicated solely to improving the lives of those living with asthma in the Chicago area and is one of the oldest and largest asthma coalitions in the country.
